Michaela Strachan: Not Just a Wild Life

2026 will mark 40yrs of being on telly, so I’m going on tour to celebrate and reminisce.

From the early days of WACky children’s TV, to the late nights of The Hitman And Her, to many years of presenting wildlife programmes, The Really Wild Show, Michaela’s Wild Challenge, Orangutan Diaries, Springwatch, to Dancing On Ice more recently.

Let’s face it, it’s been, well…..

NOT JUST A WILDLIFE!

It’ll be an evening celebrating the decades, the beauty of nature, full of fun, nostalgia and heart warming stories.

My Book and Show

My first book! It’s called Michaela Strachan’s Really Wild Adventures’, a book of fun and factual animal rhymes. It’s a book of animal poems for children all about my experiences and adventures filming with wildlfe. From ‘Never Try To Outspit A Spitting Cobra’ to ‘Polar Bear Dentistry’, from ‘Elephant Orphans In Blankets’ to ‘Wrapped Up Bats’ and many more. It’s full of photos and fab illustrations by Sarah Horne. It’s published by Franklin Watts and can be ordered on Amazon.

We made the book into a theatre show and took it on a tour in the Feb and Easter school holidays 2013 which was a lot of fun.  I also did  a scaled down version of the show at events, zoos and wildlife parks including ‘Yorkshire Wildlife Park’, ‘Camp Bestival’, ‘Adventure Valley’ and ‘Twycross Zoo’.
